Heart Chorus Global Initiative

One of 360 student selected internationally to lead a conference in Sydney, Australia. I engaged in design thinking by treating this conference as a workshop to get all students to raise awareness for United Nations. We conducted primary research and spoke with locals about ways to raise awareness, then came up with unique ideas. We fabricated situations of raising awareness until we came up with our final "solution." Our solution consisted of  climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge and raising flags that promoted United Nation Sustainable Development Goals.  Lastly, we also raised approximately $9000, which we gifted to the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization.

Klick Health Workshop

Klick Health allowed my classmates and I the opportunity to experience what a day in life of a UX professional looks like. We were randomly divided into teams and were given  health related design challenge and about an hour of time to engage in design thinking. Afterwards we presented our design thinking process and solution. This was a valuable experience as it was the first time I pitched an idea to industry partners.

Google x UWaterloo

Attended the "60 minutes to save the world" workshop hosted at Google (2017). This conference introduced me to the profession of UX. Throughout this event I met and collaborated with students from unique undergraduate backgrounds. We were divided into multidisciplinary teams and given a design challenge to solve.
